Sagewood is a true expression of urban industrial/retro styling with minimalist hints, and wonderful scale. The main feature of Sagewood is the artisan inspired finish on charred solid planked pine surfaces framed by external double steel side frames. Charred pine, known as Shou-sagi-ban or “burnt cedar” is an ancient Japanese process for finishing and hardening pine or cedar which adds a warm textured look to the wood while both antiquing and preserving the wood. The bases are burnished double tube steel frames with an undertone of gold.
